Design & Creative Approach
Inspiration: The name “Spool” served as the foundation for the design concept. It symbolizes the idea of threads of conversation coming together to form a cohesive and meaningful dialogue.
Design Elements:
A tactile, hands-on aesthetic inspired by the manual process of threading spools.
Textured imagery, printmaking-style illustrations (e.g., stamps), and yarn were incorporated to evoke a sense of craftsmanship and creativity.
Intro Animation: Create an engaging intro animation that captures the podcast’s handmade, thoughtful spirit.
Utilized stop-motion visual feel to craft a gritty, tactile feel for each scene leading up to the podcast title card.
Designed the animation to reflect the podcast’s core theme of weaving together ideas and conversations.
